Candida Buxton-Le Pénuizic teaches English Literature and was college coordinator from 2010-2016. She is one of the Producers of the annual SIS play, adapting William Thackeray’s ‘Vanity Fair’ in 2012, and this year (2016) Charlotte Brontë’s ‘Jane Eyre’ for the SIS stage. She also founded and runs the SIS choir in Sèvres. She previously worked at the University of London in Paris as an English teacher and teacher trainer from 1991 until 2007, when she joined the SIS. She has a BSc Hons in Politics and Law from the University of Southampton and an MA in the teaching of English to speakers of other languages from London University. She sings in St Georges Anglican choir in Paris and is a keen gardener.
