Cindy Plecko

History and Geography Teacher in Collège and Lycée 

Cindy Plecko grew up in a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Shortly after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts and a Certificate of Western European Studies from the University of Pittsburgh in 1998, she settled in France where she taught History & Geography in the European section of the Lycée en Foret in Montargis and OIB History & Geography at the Lycée Honoré de Balzac. She has been teaching in the SIS since 2003 and teaches all levels of collège and lycée, specializing in 4eme and Cambridge classes. Mrs. Plecko co-organises the debate team and trip to Harvard Model Congress for our high school students. She particularly enjoys19th and 20th century American history and current issues. Mrs. Plecko currently lives in Paris with her husband, John Bauer, who teaches English Literature in the Collége de Sévres, and their 2 shih tzus.
