Rebecca Loxton

Rebecca Loxton was born in London. She read Modern Languages at Sussex University and a Master's in 19th-century literature at Oxford.

She spent two years teaching English at the Sorbonne and a subsequent two years teaching at a collection of universities and grandes écoles, including the Université Paris-Dauphine and the Ecole Polytechnique. She also teaches extra-curricular classes for lycéens preparing the Sciences Po entrance exams.

Last year, Rebecca worked as a teacher of English and History in the Bilingual Section of the Collège Sévigné.

Rebecca has lived in Paris for 5 years, during which time she has honed her command of Franglais and discovered many hidden corners of her favourite city. Rebecca enjoys going to the theatre, learning to play tennis, and attending art history classes at the Ecole du Louvre, but her first love is literature; she is a voracious reader of both classic and contemporary works.
